Johnson City is fortunate to have a store like this. Staff are very knowledgeable about the vinyl industry. They have a diverse selection (used, new, picture disc, imports, all genres of music). They also can repair turntables. Staff is very kind and desire to help you find the selection you may be searching for. They can order new if that is what you would like. Price is comparable to online stores with zero waiting and you are supporting a local business that has been serving this area since at least the early eighties. I recommend a visit to Backdoor Records.

Super friendly staff. I found some great vinyl. Great selection. Stop in for any and all vinyl needs. They do special orders, so they can find almost anything you want.

Two of the employees, maybe the owners, are extremely rude. I’ve been SHOUTED at for setting a record two rows out of its original spot, which I did due to the stores small size and cramped aisles. This is especially bad during the pandemic. Very unfriendly. I rarely go there. They sell beat-up records at top dollar. Just want to be treated with respect like any paying customer should be treated. Two thumbs down.
