I have been here back in 2011 when I was first diagnosed with papillary carcinoma ( thyroid cancer. I had very nice staff that helped me out. I was in remission and it came back so the two years I've been going they have been nothing but nice to me. Mrs Elshenway is the best doctor she has done alcohol ablation on me twice and I feel like if anyone needs to be seen at the Cytopathology place they come here everyone is so nice and considerate.Thank you!

Outpatient Cytopathology Center offers comprehensive fine needle aspiration biopsy services. OCC is one of the first independent FNA practices established in the United States. The staff and medical professionals are absolutely amazing! The staff are professional, kind and courteous. The medical professionals are extremely knowledgeable, skillful in their work, comforting and empathetic. They most certainly care about their patients and their well being. This is illustrated through their work ethic. I specifically rave about Dr. Yasmin Elshenawy!! Every year I must have an ultra sound and needle biopsy. Dr. Elshenawy can make an uncomfortable situation, comfortable! Her skillful hands, her intelligence, her kindness, her humor and her ability to put me at ease makes up for all the dread in having my procedure. Dr. Elshenawy and all the staff at OCC are highly recommended. I most certainly put my trust in their hands.

I had PEI done for my thyroglossal duct cyst here with Dr. Elshenawy. Dr. Elshenawy was very caring and made me feel very comfortable. I was very nervous and she made feel so ease since the very moment I got there. I travel from NJ here because theres no Doctors around NY,NJ that treats thyroglossal Duct Cyst with PEI (percutaneous ethanol injections). I didnt want to go for surgery at least without trying this first! I must say that I had a very good experience and so far everything went well. I will continue following up monitoring progress from long distance with Dr. Elshenawy. I want to thanks Dr. Elshenawy , Amy,Heather and her entire team for being so good to me, Thank you very much!!
