Our nurse, Curt, was outstanding! He was so patient and kind to my mother. He listened and addressed every concern she had. He stayed with her both before and after her procedure in radiology.

Just really outstanding service. My new Drs here have helped me get my life back from decades of chronic pain and understand the anxiety I have with medical treatment

Prior to my procedure, staff at UHS Gastroenterology told me directly that they would send me detailed instructions on prepping. I received no such support from the staff, so I ended up relying on YouTube videos on how to prep. I feel that management of this group needs to seriously review how staff are interacting with patients.

We were sent home with an infusion machine which malfunctioned upon arriving home. We were instructed to call the office in an incident such as this, so we did that. However, no one ever answered the phone. We called the switchboard, who transferred us back to the number we had just called, and still, no one answered. We tried to call Binghamton Infusion center, and no one answered there either. After multiple attempts and getting no answer, I looked up the user manual online. At first, I could not resolve the issue myself. Therefore, I called the customer support number on the handout given to us by the nurse at Wilson. That number is disconnected. Fearing that my mother was not getting her infusion correctly, I did more research online and was able to fix the issue. However, my biggest concern is: What if she was alone? She wouldn’t have been able to figure out a fix for this. Or worse, what if this was an elderly person who had no one with them and no one to call? If the office is not going to answer the phone, there should at least be an automated message indicating why they’re not answering and provide additional numbers (that actually work) to call. Also, it’d be highly advisable to update the hand out to include a working telephone number for the machine support center.
