Great service from Simon and his team. Got them in to treat a damp patch on our back wall but found we had dry rot. Affected timber was removed, new timber spliced in and the wall treated. Would highly recommend them.

Simon and his team have been very busy this month carrying out quite extensive work in our Avenue after several neighbours found that they had dry rot. He provided us with a free survey with no obligation to use his services. In fact, after getting another firm in for a second opinion, the other company were charging almost three times the amount for the same work. So we used Simon and his team and they did four separate bits of work - all in one day. This involved taking two alcoves back to brick. Installing a membrane. Replastering. Also some dry rot treatment for a beam that needed replacing in the basement as well as treatment for another area in the basement which needed old wood removed and sprayed. Very impressed with the quality of the work. Very tidy and careful re avoiding mess. Simon also sticks to his quote. I know from speaking to several of my neighbours that, despite finding more dry rot than expected, he didn’t charge extra. Would definitely recommend SMPS for quality dry rot and building preservation work.

During extensive kitchen renovations we were found to have some damp penetration. The company doing the work had no one available to help at short notice. Simon stepped in and with little time did an excellent job allowing the other work to proceed. I cannot give enough praise and thanks to him and his company. He will be first person to call in the future. I did have to call Simon again about 2 weeks later when a survey revealed rising damp in a different area. After stripping off plasterwork some dry rot was also found. Once again Simon and his team were very professional and left us clean and tidy again. Cannot praise the whole team highly enough.
