It's a small airport that is solely operated by indigo. The maintenance is of first class and the staff is very helpful. However There is only one coffee shop inside the airport. So if the flights get delayed indigo makes sure to provide refreshments. It's safe as it is inside the campus of Indian Air force.

A nice and cozy airport and an necessity to travel to this part of India. It's fast and connects Jorhat to Kolkata directly, where train takes more than 30 hours it takes just 1.5 hrs. It's Airforce defense airport so no photography is allowed. Very less no of civilian planes takeoff or land here, so it's very less crowded and one of the smallest airport you will come across. The best part here is u will get your check in baggage almost instantly Hope this helps..
