I go to K-state, and for some reason there aren't hookah lounges in Manhattan. So I was excited to hear about one in Junction City. After finding out that it was a newer place I decided to give it a go and see how it was. Me and 5 other friends drove there and immediately we had trouble finding it due to bad signing. When we walked in the room was pretty small and couldn't really hold many people. The seating was also arranged in an odd fashion that made it difficult for our group to sit comfortably. The hookah itself was decent but way overpriced. One bowl was 15 or 13(dependent on single or mixed flavors) and a refill was 7. On top of that non-smokers had to pay 3 dollars to get in. When we got the hookah it had too many coals so it burned quickly and we weren't given tongs to move them ourselves. The staff was decent, they were friendly enough. But they kept asking if our hookah was too harsh and if we wanted a refill. It seemed that they were bent on selling us refills which I would've happily paid for if the hookah lasted longer and a refill wasn't so expensive. They also seemed pretty immature and that really got under my skin especially for people running a business. I felt like the place was ran by people in middle and high school. Finally the venue itself was disgusting. The bathroom sat in this garage area that was littered with all kinds trash. The bathroom was very dirty and had no paper towels, soap or toilet paper. Maybe the people who run this place should use some of the funds from overpriced hookah to invest in these kinds of things. I would not recommend using this place. One star is rather generous, because if there was a negative rating on here I would happily apply to this place. If you're like me and live around Manhattan you're better off going the extra distance Lawrence, KC, or Wichita for a good lounge.
