I asked for my contact lens prescription so I could order online and the receptionist said I couldn't until I had a fitting and ordered under them. It just makes it seem like it's a money grab. I'll edit my review after my contacts are fitted, since legally, they have to see if my contacts fit my eyes.

I saw Dr. Christina Windhorst in The spring of 2019. I informed her I was told from a previous eye visit at Irwin Hospital Optometry that there was some scarring in my eye from something called histoplasmosis and it should be monitored in future visits. She said there wasn’t any, so I thought the previous optometrist made a mistake. After my appointment that day with Windhorst, I was taken to the main lobby area to pay my bill and when I asked for my eyeglass/contact prescription the staff member said she’d have to get it from the doctor. The staff member returned saying Windhorst was on the phone. I waited another 15 minutes and was told she was with a patient. It was ridiculous. I ended up leaving and not being able to get the prescription until a week after, which the office manager apologized for and seemed embarrassed by. Covid hits 2020 and my yearly eye visit is put off until October 2020. My new optometrist sends me to a retina specialist because of histoplasmosis eye scarring that has led to choroidal neovascularization in my right eye. A very serious situation that this ignorant, goofy woman Windhorst, completely overlooked and wasn’t knowledgeable enough in her field to understand even after it was brought to her attention. I knew I’d never return to this facility after the mess of trying to obtain my prescription that day and knew she was a bit goofy but I had no idea this woman was a complete idiot too. Christina Windhorst should not be seeing patients.
Went to get my glasses here and they were overpriced, even with insurance. They didn't have my glasses done when they said and did not give good customer service. Would NOT make an effort to go here.
