Great tour. We got to see a bunch of whales and even some killer whales on our boat ride. The glacier trail are very easy and nice. Dirk and Lisa are very knowledgeable making the your fun and educational.

We did the photo Safari tour - a combination of a short first walk to see the glacier, and a whale watching tour. Our guide, Mark, was great - informative and funny. And our whale watching tour with Captain Kelly was a great success with many humpbacks really close up (they kept coming towards us!).

Wow!!! I'm completely hooked on whales and studying them now. The things we learned on the boat and what we saw just can't be duplicated on one of those bigger boats. Personal service- she took the time to get to know is and at least our names. I got to pull in and throw out a crab pod. Lol. It was tiny but still!!! I felt such a connection with the whales. Not completely sure I would have on a bigger vessel. We saw a sea otter the guide had only seen twice the previous year. Her personal stories were great and tired everything together. You will NOT regret booking a tour with this company. We loved Captain Todd and Richelle, our guide. Thanks, y'all! 7/11/19

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time as Shannon, Adam K., & Captain Fred lead us through whale watching and a small bit of hiking. They were all very knowledgeable and taught us so much, we had an excellent time. I would highly recommend doing a tour with them!

This tour exceeded all of our expectations. Our tour guide was Britney, and she was fantastic - funny, knowledgeable, entertaining and informative. Our Captain was Captain Mac - and he was also fantastic and really knew where and how to find the whales and how to get the best photographs of them. He consistently positioned the boat to afford us the best lighting and backgrounds to photograph whales. Plus, he knew the local whales well, where to find them, and which ones would likely be the most active and interesting to watch and photograph. We came to Alaska to see whales, and this tour delivers! They guarantee you will see whales on their tour, and we saw MANY, including a mother and calf. This was an educational, exciting, comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable experience. We cannot thank them enough to recommend them highly enough! I am including some photos with this review taken from my husband's iPhone. In other words, these are not even the good photos that we took on our DSLR. You will get fantastic opportunities for pictures on this tour. Don't hesitate - JUST GO!

What an experience! We started the day hoping to see at least one North American Humpback, but left having seen at least a dozen a new found knowledge on photography and so forth. Bryan (our guide) was exceptional in every way. His passion and knowledge on all things wildlife and photography only made me listen harder, which allowed me take more on board. Seeing the majestic creatures in their own habitat was a dream come true and one my husband and I are so glad we did. Everything about Gastineau Guiding (we did the Whales & Glaciers Photo Safari tour) was performed on such a professional level that I can't help but recommend them as highly as possible. Thanks Bryan for making a part of our Alaska adventure unforgettable.

Absolutely wonderful tour. Their boats have a terrific design to maximize viewing and photography angles. They get you to the areas where you're most likely to see whales and they don't waste time doing it. They're able to maneuver the boat so they can follow the animals and give everyone an opportunity to get good photos. They are extremely safety conscious and follow regulations to avoid stressing the animals. They are passionate about their work and seem to be as excited to see a humpback as the first-time visitor is. This was by magnitudes better than any other tour we took on an 11 day cruise!!
