If you are considering whale watching in Juneau this is the place to go. Jayleen was very knowledgeable about the area and the whales. She was also very nice and friendly. We felt very safe on her boat and we were able to see lots of whales. She also offered snack, drinks and binoculars during our trip. She provided us with both a memorable and excellent experience.

I was out on my second tour with Jayleen's Alaska today. Love the small intimate feel to the tour. Great information from Jayleen and Amber (the two captains) and some incredible opportunities to see whales up close and personal. If you are looking for something smaller and more personalized than the big boat tours, I can highly recommend Jayleen's Alaska.

Amazing whale watching tour. Captain Amber was fantastic. Knowledgeable, fun and skilled. This small 2 woman operation is a must. The small boat was so close to the water. Sasha the whale came up for a breath . The view was priceless. We saw humpbacks and orcas. 5 stars. Highly recommend.

Jayleen’s Alaska was highly recommended to us by a vacation specialist with a cruise line. It was even more amazing than we had expected. Captain Amber was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating while at the same time very professional. She knew exactly where to go to have the best chance of spotting whales and we were actually treated to a spectacular show by 8 or 9 whales. There were 4 in our party on a boat that accommodates 6. Given the small size of passengers we had the opportunity to move around and have fantastic views at all times. Captain Amber’s expertise was only exceeded but the overall experience.

Five stars is not enough! We are so thankful to Jayleen for taking us out on an amazing and whale-filled tour. The passion Jayleen has for Alaska is clear and her excitement contagious. Whales were out en masse the day we toured, and she extended our tour so we could enjoy the amazing day and see more of the surrounding area (COVID silver lining--no summer crowds). Speaking of COVID--the vessel was immaculately clean and freshly sanitized and mask protocol was followed. Had we done this tour earlier in our stay we would have DEFINITELY signed up for a second tour!

I did whale watching with them for twice, and for twice it's been an amazing experience. Their main features: Two wonderful captains, Jayleen and Amber. A small boat for few people. An incredible way of enjoying whales, far better and closer than with those huge, crowded tours. Lots of whales in the area. It won't be my last time, for sure.

My son researched available excursions for our Alaska cruise. He chose Jayleen's based on reviews, smaller boat size and that Jayleen's was a small, local female-owned business. What a great find! We not only saw numbers of whales (including calves) but also had a great guide in Amber! I highly recommend this business. Thanks for a terrific time!
