Plenty of food. Folks seemed nice. Super hard to get a bandaid. Had to beg for a fork to eat.

Shiny new fence and impressive barb wire I'd give it a 'thumbs up'

This correctional facility is not winning any points from me. I'm trying to make an appointment to see my friend who was brought here last night and they keep transferring me to a line and nobody is there. What gives?

Well, what can i say, it's a type of jail, i've never been in there,& don't want to either. It might be the only jail Juneau has. But, i'm sure they're nice,& (maybe...sometimes) polite, but fair enough. I'll give them a thumbs up for there effort.

Always a pleasure to work with the staff at LCCC. They are very helpful and professional.

My husband of 12 yrs and father to my children is serving out the 2nd half of a 4 year stretch in LCCC, after being moved from one facility to the next farther and farther from home each time. He was getting depressed being all alone here, so I moved our family to Juneau to be a support system for him. His moral has increased dramatically. So has his attitude and criminalistic thinking and behaviors. The staff at LCCC are the first Correctional Officers my husband has ever liked, because for the most part, they treat the inmates there with dignity and respect. So long as the convict is doing so as well. Appointments have to be made in order to visit, and each week my family and I venture out on the bus to see him, the staff is nearly always friendly, gets us in on time or early, and doesn't make the ordeal any worse then it has to be. They abide by the rules, and when prisoner redirection is needed, they do it in a way that is not demeaning or offensive. Seems like a fair place to do time in comparison to other institutions I've visited. Keep up the good work. Mutual Respect is key I believe.
