Capt Chris and Deckhand Adrianne were excellent. Weather was what you'd expect in SE Alaska, but it didn't slow down the fish catch! We had great luck with salmon, but skunked on the halibut. Too many troublesome flounder messing with our mojo. But a great day anyhow. Boat mascot Luna was a doll and great company. Deckhand (soon to be Capt) Adrianne was excellent at showing us what to do and helping keep an eye on our poles but never taking over. Capt Chris has great knowledge of the area and was quick to share information. 4 was a perfect number for the boat...any more would be too cozy and hard to share fishing time. Wished the weather better afforded us the chance to sit up top, but overall, was a great day! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Good luck on your captain's exam Adrianne!!

Had a great time on my charter with Rum Runner! Both captain Chris and his deckhand Adrianne were great!! It was a cold day but the cabin was heated and there was hot cocoa. Caught some Halibut and Salmon and even saw some whales along the way
Our chartered trip with Captains Chris and Troy couldn't have gone any better! They were able to share a lot of knowledge about the area as well as the wildlife between locations. We saw a ton of whales thanks to a couple of very good hunches on the part of Captain Chris. Thank you for a very special trip!
I didn't want it to end. It was like hanging out with friends you have known a long time. We caught our limit of large rock fish early so then we got to see some sights. They we're so attentive. They even feed us lunch. Troy and Luke we're a great team and found the best spots to pull out the fish, one after another. Beautiful boat.
My wife and I chartered with Rum Runners for a full-day fishing and wildlife watching trip. We spent the day on the water with Capt Troy and deck hand Luke, and they were excellent!! We spent a lot of time chasing after King Salmon with no luck, but had some beautiful scenery to enjoy while we fished. Then, they took us to another spot where we quickly filled our halibut quota - my wife was definitely the better angler on the halibut! Next, we got to watch whales for a bit before trying the salmon again and feeding some bald eagles. If you’re looking for a charter in the Juneau area, you should give Rum Runners a close look.
Chris picked us up from the cruise ship terminal and took us out. The trup was for my 88 year old father in law that wanted to go fishing one more time. Chris and Adrianne were fantastic. Weather could of been better for fishing. It was sunny and 78 degrees and we had a great time. Got a couple hook ups and got one on board. On our way back in came across a pod of Orcas and got some great pictures. Also feed some Eagles
Took wife and 3 kids 15/15/8 on fishing with the Rum Runner in June off the cruise ship Solstice. Got picked up on time with no hassles right at the dock.I have fished of charters all over America and my family has done party boats in New England. Boat was clean and well run, Captain Chris was spot on on the fishing and wild life. Deck hand knew her stuff and helped save more than a couple of fish. We caught our limit of rock fish and Halibut, and got a few awesome pix of eagles in action. Every aspect of this trip was perfect and would highly recommend it. Posted under sons google
We had a great experience with Chris. We got into a bunch of salmon even in the late season. Chris picked us up on time at the cruise ship and dropped us off at an awesome restaurant he recommended. The following is only reason I didn't give 5 stars. We lost a couple fish and ended up losing the tackle. Chris was quite frustrated about losing the tackle and it showed. He even gave us an accounting of how much he had lost that day in dollars. Not professional, that is the cost of doing business. Overall awesome experience and would recommend Rum Runner.
