I was out of town for over two weeks and came home to a gas leak from the meter. Teco arrived about an hour later and fixed it. Great... Until I received the bill.... Not only does my newer hot water heater make a loud roaring noise that it didn’t make before, not only did the “customer charge” go up over 5 a month, but the lady is refusing to credit my account for their leak. She said the company does not have technology to see what was used each day, they only know per month (which she said they read manually however my cameras has never once captured a Teco employee or truck ever on my street in three years and what she says my meter number reads is not what my physical meter attached to my house reads) so they can’t credit me for the days of gas spewing out of their meter. Get a propane tank, save yourself the headache!

If there was a “Zero rating they would have gotten that. 2 days wasted waiting and they still haven’t turned on our gas. Disgraceful. Another reason utilities should be held accountable and strongly regulated.
It's pretty sad how terrible their customer service is. They had an outage that took over a week to fix. Then they just leave a door tag at your house with nothing on it except their company name and phone number. Apparently you have to call and schedule an appointment to have your gas turned back on. They don't accommodate your working hours at all. For example, they won't come in on the weekends to turn your gas back on. Even when it's their outage that caused the problem. Then they said I would be setup for an 8 am appointment. Today it's 845 and they still haven't showed up. When I called asking about the appointment they said it's an all day appointment. So basically they want me to stay home from work all day waiting for them to show up at their own convenience. The fact that they have 1 star average shows this company clearly does not care about their reviews or their customers. I plan on filing a complaint with the better business bureau stating I want to be reimbursed for the time I lost at work waiting for them to show.

The worst company to deal with in Florida and that says alot because I have Comcast also. Literally get put on hold for 42 min the first time, the second time 38 minutes. I have been waiting since 1040am for my service to be put on and it's now 122. I'm sure another 3 hours will go by before someone comes to literally turn one valve. Customer service is a 1 out of 10. Service time is a 1 out of 10. Basically this company is a joke and we can only hope a better gas provider will cone into the area. There employees don't care because they get paid either way. What a joke.
