We celebrated New Years at Hotel Järvsöbaden and it was fantastic. We called last minute and they were able to fit us in. We were greeted by the owners that were very friendly, they work at the hotel themselves. The rooms (we stayed in the main building) where nice size and comfortable. TV and basic amenities. The hotel decor is nice and antique - wallpaper in the hallways, furniture in the common areas and dining room. It goes very well with the elevated cosy and quaint experience! The food was great, they offered a 3 course meal and supporting wine tasting all great. And they refilled your glasses as much as you want! The serving staff was super friendly and added a personal touch to the meal. All around outstanding! They had private fireworks for just the 30 people staying with them at 8:00 pm (due to restrictions) and they gave us all guests bags with champagne and potato chips for our rooms to enjoy at midnight. Such a nice touch! Loved staying here and highly recommend!

Nice and cosy place to stay. Very nice garden and interior. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast buffet could be better.
Nice environment with rich ancestry and surroundings. I would say that the arrangement and the hotel may be best suited to seniors with low requirements. Nothing for the new generation. Just too small rooms, we had to re-furnish to make room with travel cot. Extremely poor food: mostly dry, cold and tasteless. Really bad service in the restaurant and we got to serve the wine ourselves. On one occasion we also had to open the wine bottle to the waitress as she could not handle the wine opener herself. A nice element, however, was Santa Claus, which gave all children a Christmas present, but even there the mood was slightly lowered when a specific family received special treatment as the plot in front of all other children distributed more, private gifts only to that family's children. Fortunately, our three-year-old did not understand this.
It is classy, charming, homey and the breakfast is lovely. In particular I loved the breads and the jams.

Founded in 1905, this is a classical resort hotel. I was there for dinner. Very filling. The vegetarian main course was boring. Otherwise excellent hotel and restaurant. Make sure to take the time to take a stroll in the lovely garden.
Great breakfast and dinner buffet, a pleasant medium-sized spa with sauna, steam sauna and a bubble bath, good service. Had no issues or complaints at all during my stay.
