I was taking it seriously when choosing the right place to go for my long-term German course. What I first liked about Kästner Kolleg was the lack of negative reviews on the internet and fast communication, so after some more research I decided to go with this option, and I did not regret it. I would often read in reviews of other language schools that your experience there can be good or bad depending on your teacher, but it does not work this way at Kästner. All teachers I met here were professionals and super nice people, those working at the school's office were also very nice and always ready to help with my documents or changing the course. The classes were a balanced mix of grammar and speaking practice, everybody got a chance to speak as much as they wanted. We always discussed interesting topics, so the learning process did not feel stressful but rather natural and entertaining. In addition to the classes, the school organizes a lot of different events including day trips, parties, weekly meetings in a bar, and many more. They also did a good job at switching to online courses during the quarantine, so the school never stopped working. All in all, I can describe my experience at Kästner Kolleg as very positive and would recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn German. My advice would be to book the courses with LanguageCourse.net so that you get a 5% discount. Also, think carefully before choosing your level because the school does not provide full refunds in case you decide to change the course later on.
The BEST place to learn German in Dresden. The staff is incredibly accommodating and welcoming, everyone is ready to answer any questions and the teachers are extremely well trained and knowledgeable. Kästner Kolleg is like a second home. They offer tea and coffee at a small cost, snacks when they are available and free-time programs, either online or around Dresden. If you’re coming in from outside of Europe, there are sure to be other students speaking your mother tongue and you’ll have the experience of meeting people from all over the world. This is a wonderful place to make friends and bond with people from all walks of life.
I have joined B2 and C1 intensive course at Kästner Kolleg. I will start my study on October. It was one of the best choices that I made this year. Tomorrow is my last day at Kästner Kolleg. I already miss my friends and teachers. As my friend introduced me Kästner Kolleg, I strongly recommend anyone who wants to learn German.
Hello everyone! My name is Anastasia, and I am from Moscow. I have just finished course B1.2, and before I took A.2.1, A2.2. and B1.1 course. I have improved my skills a lot. The lessons are structured perfectly: Vocabulary, grammar, reading, a lot of speaking and listening - everything what is needed to learn a language well. Despite the pandemic and online classes - I have to say that the classes have not become any less prodigious or boring. It has been a really amazing 4 months, in a VERY intense and structured way. When I first came to the course, I could not speak German, now I can orient myself well in German speech. This school is the best language school I have ever attended! Ich möchte den wunderbaren Lehrerinnen meinen tiefsten Dank aussprechen: Mandy, Katrin und Agnes - Sie sind Profis! Jeder Unterricht mit Ihnen war einzigartig und interessant. Thank you for your work. For the fact that every day you give each of your students a piece of yourself. You give knowledge, share your experience, give your attention and, in the end, give a piece of your heart. Pros for studying in this school: You will really speak German very quickly! Cons: One day you will leave this school and you will miss the atmosphere, friends and teachers very much.
I participated in courses for about 4 months and it was easily the best learning experience i had. The atmosphere within the school is very friendly and inviting and it really feels like home in there. The Team and teachers are very friendly and supportive, not only with the language but with other questions that we had concerning any other topics. its an experience i would very highly recommend
What I really liked about Kästner were the teachers. They were very kind and always ready to help and not only in class. Teachers would also help students with a job search. They answered questions in class clearly and made sure everyone understood what was being taught.
