Great hidden gem in Copenhagen. It's just worth a visit for the building itself. The museum is very well organized in sort of a one way system telling a story. Most of the object descriptions are in Danish but the main story signs are in English. It's mostly Islamic art, it's actually the largest collection in Scandinavia, even if you are not particularly into it it's worth a visit.

Pros: Excellent place to visit Lots of history items Good explanation of the items collected from different parts of the world Nice relax quiet environment You will need a day to explore this beautiful place Nice friendly staff Lockers are also available paid and free one You will receive an ipad which you will need to return at the end. Very well-curated museum on Islamic art. The admission is free. The museum provides free guide with translation and audio available for selected pieces. The locker requires 10 krones but will be returned at the end of the use. It is definitely worth a visit. A detailed visit would take 5hours up to the entire day.

Amazing collection of artwork on the first two floors then the rest of the collection gets even better. A lot of Islamic artwork and historical items to see on the 3rd and 4th floors. It's a must see and since it's free to go see I don't see why anyone wouldn't go

Large collection, mainly vases and plates, it would be nice if information about objects was translated to English as well.

Very interesting free museum. Big collection of Islamic decorative artifacts. Well organized, quite extensive and good additional information on each piece with the help of a tablet. Recommend to also have a glimpse of the gold danish painting era.

Fantastic hidden gem of a museum with an outstanding collection of Islamic art (I usually skip the other floors...)
