Iron Pagoda is only one of the attractions: there's also quite nice gardens surrounding it - and there are performances and such. Pretty cheap to go there as well. When I went (April) there were no crowds. Enjoyed looking at the intricate brickwork. Interesting history! It is easy to get to on the bus.

開封龍亭區內的鐵塔，有很多盛開菊花，尤其是黃色大菊花，真是太漂亮了，滿園逛遍，心情很好的。
北宋皇祐元年（1049）重新修建。别名开封铁塔、开宝寺塔，八角十三层，高55.88米，是仿木构的楼阁式砖塔。因遍体通彻褐色琉璃砖，混似铁铸，从元代起民间称其为“铁塔”。在900多年中，历经了37次地震，18次大风，15次水患，而巍然屹立。
