When Kitty was diagnosed with cancer, I knew that the day that I'd have to let him go would come sooner than I had ever imagined. I decided to choose at-home euthanasia since Kitty always hated going to the vet and I just knew that I would not want him to be stressed out on his last day. And this is where Dr. Naun came in. She was compassionate and treated Kitty with the dignity he deserved. Her services cut out the stress and guilt of going to the vet. When the time came, she made sure to explain to us exactly what was going to happen. And after Kitty passed, instead of just wrapping Kitty in a towel, she wrapped him in a blanket and carried him away in a basket. I really appreciated this gesture as we say our final goodbye. I'm glad to have found her, so that we could make sure to say goodbye to our beloved Kitty with as little stress as possible.

My family and I received the most compassionate care way beyond our expectations with Arms of Aloha. Doctor Naun was very informative and compassionate when we spoke on the phone and Selah was kind when she brought our Fudge dogs remains to us in the most beautiful bag and keepsakes that we will treasure forever. We will forever be grateful for the service we received and have shared our great experience with our Facebook friends and family. We miss our dog every day but are at peace knowing that he was treated very kindly and he left our planet earth without suffering anymore with Dr. Naun’s gentleness and kindness We would very highly recommend using Arms of Aloha if you are faced with the decision of peacefully ending your beloved animals time here in earth. We will look forward to the time that we may meet our beloved Fudge at the rainbow bridge.

One of the hardest decisions I have had to make. Saying goodbye to the loyal and best friend that has been there with you through everything, laid by you when you were upset, put his paw on you when he knew something wasn't right, the jumping and running around in loops as fast as he could when he was excited and happy. Arms of Aloha was very understanding and caring when it came to the tough day as well as following up with heartfelt sincerity after the fact. We really appreciated the care and respect they were able to provide!
We're extremely grateful for Arms of Aloha and the compassionate service they provide.
It is my honor in writing review. Today I had to put down an awesome companion. My dog Mercedes steadily declined as her cancer spread. Her eyes showed me she was ready and wanted to go. I was able to get a same day appointment and give my Mercedes a comfortable end. Arms of Aloha were compassionate during entire process. I am very grateful for their help.
While housesitting and watching my brother’s two dogs, one's condition worsened and required veterinary care. Scotch's regular vet was unable to come out to evaluate him, and they recommended Arms of Aloha/Dr. Carolyn Naun. Carolyn was able to see Scotch the next morning. We felt instantly at ease with her and were impressed with her gentle demeanor, empathy, expertise, and professionalism. She provided many options to us (and my brother via phone) and was able to help manage Scotch's pain until his parents returned. Carolyn was really just wonderful throughout the entire experience and went above and beyond what we expected. I would highly recommend her services to any pet owner.
Saying goodbye to our 5 ½ year old English Bulldog Maximus the week before Christmas was one of the most difficult things our family has had to do. We are so thankful for Dr. Naun and Arms of Aloha for their services, which allowed our family’s final moments with Max to be in the privacy and comfort of our own home. Once we realized it was Max’s time, it was such a relief to have the option to not make a trip into the veterinary clinic, but instead to be at home where Max and the entire family could be comfortable and without added anxiety. Dr. Naun was so kind, compassionate, and patient as we took our time with our furbaby who had quickly declined due to aggressive cancer. Max was able to lie on his blanket, surrounded, and comforted by the entire family. Dr. Naun explained each step of the process, reassured us that Max was comfortable and allowed us time to say our tearful goodbyes. Once Max passed, Dr. Naun took Max for cremation (we requested to have him cremated and his ashes returned to us) & left us with information regarding support resources and grieving. By the end of the week we received a call from Dr. Naun that she had Max (his ashes) and would like to bring him home. Again, we were so impressed with Dr. Naun’s kindness, professionalism, and understanding as she returned Max’s ashes along with a clay imprint of his paw. Without hesitation I highly recommend Arms of Aloha when you are faced with that difficult time of saying goodbye to your beloved furbaby. Mahalo Dr. Naun & everyone at Arms of Aloha for the work you do and providing this service to families on Oahu.
