Reception staff was very friendly. The room was clean, big and comfortable. The two queen beds were comfortable. There was plenty of furniture for all our stuff and chairs to sit on. The room was surprisingly big and even had a mini kitchen and fridge, complete with stove, dishes and cutlery. Another pleasant surprise was that breakfast (which was really extravagant for a continental breakfast) was ready at 530 AM even though it was supposed to be open at 7 AM. This allowed us to eat a quick bite before our early checkout. I was, however, surprised that the front door does not have an automatic door opener button for the disabled. We also ran out of tissues and couldn't find more. Overall very pleased with the Maverick Motor Inn.

Clean, nice views of city and mountains from the non-parking lot side, accommodating staff. Building is somewhat dated, but well maintained and renovated where it counts. Small pool but cool water slide, and the hot tub was actually "hot" (I find most to be lukewarm at best). Attached Chinese restaurant (Beijing) is very nice with great views of the city and mountains as well. I would stay there again!
Had food at the new Beijing restaurant and I have to say it's definitely one of the top Chinese restaurants in town. Great portion sizes and delicious. Had the spicy prawns and they were amazing. The lunch buffet is open till 1400 on weekdays. We went on a weekend so ordered off the menu. The service was great and they also accepted American express. Overall satisfactory experience and we'll probably visit again.
This was disappointing. The positives were that the kids liked the water slide. To cons were that there was no washroom by the pool and guests were expected to return to there rooms to urinate which means a hot ub that smelt like urine. The rooms were fine expect the beds were okay with covers that never stayed on.... but what's new. The worst was the noise. The motel is situated right beside the highway that is on an incline so there is a lot of car and truck noise. The walls and doors were not much help at blocking the sound of other patrons. Overall if you are looking for a affordable place to stay and you stay up late enough to bypass other guests and traffic then this could work for you... but not for me next time.
I needed longer term stay for business, was here a couple of weeks or more, very friendly and helpful front desk staff (I needed to get some directions about town). The rooms were clean, updated, comfy beds. Good WI FI access. Nice to have a quick breakfast before heading out for the day! I will be back.
Awesome pool, hot tub and great slide for kids (well... And adults lol). Clean inexpensive rooms. Would definitely stay here again. Chinese food next door 3/5 star.
Stayed the night here Rooms are good and clean. Breakfast was decent. Waffles muffins cereal etc... Coffee. Waterslide and pool were great. Only weird part was no bathrooms at the pool?
Good budget inn to stay in Kamloops. Liked the water slide and pool/hot tub. Rooms were very clean, along w/the bathroom. Continental breakfast left something to be desired though.
