Ordered a regular fries today at Aberdeen mall, and recieved the smallest box of the 3. Noticed on the shelf behind the workers there were clearly 3 different sizes. (also did a Google image search to verify this) When I questioned the person behind the till why my box was the smallest when I ordered a regular, I was told quote "we put the regular and small fries in the same box". \u200d️ Do not recommend ordering from this location, as they rip people off.

I received horrible customer service by whom I believe was the owner and/or manager. I ordered a large fries which should cost somewhere around 6 and he tried to charge me 8.75 or so. When I questioned him about the price, he told me that was the price with Gravy and when I inform him I didn't order gravy he told me that the fries come with gravy. I let him know that I did not want gravy and I wasn't going to pay for it, which triggered him to get upset with me and he proceeded to angrily cancel the transaction and adjust the price. After I paid, I stood off to the side a few feet away from the counter and after about a minute of me standing there waiting for my order of fries, he yelled at me to stand at least 6 feet away from the counter without any prior warning. The yell came out of nowhere and it was loud enough that half of the food court turned around to see what was going on. I was a little upset and embarrassed at that point so I didn't argue with him and took a few steps back to comply with his "request". When the fries were ready, he asked me if I wanted anything on my fries to which I requested some of the California Seasoning Salt and some condiments. At that point he informed me that I would have to pay extra for seasoning salt or condiments and when I questioned him about the additional cost, asking if it was a new policy at this store, he said that ALL NY Fries are charging extra for condiments and salt. After receiving my fries, which were over-salted and barely edible, I searched online and could not find any information on this new policy. To me, this sounds like he was trying to up-charge for the products (gravy when none was ordered; salt & condiments). Additionally, the size of the "Extra Large" seemed questionable as I was given the fries in a smaller rectangular container that clearly had MUCH less fries than the typical XL containers that NY Fries has always served their fries in. In the end, the fries were too salty and tossed them.

This week the owner asked why I'm not cooking for my boyfriend today ...like sure let me stop in the middle of our shopping and cook up a meal for him. Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean we can't eat out and enjoy dates and time together at the mall.

So in the middle of a pandemic, with heavy restrictions in place with mandatory masks in all public places, here is the owner of New York Fries in Aberdeen Mall Kamloops wearing his mask UNDER his chin working over food and serving customers. The only time he puts on the mask was when the food court attendant tells the owner that he is getting multiple complaints about the owner not covering his face at all. AND THEN PROCEEDS TO REMOVE THE MASK 30 SECONDS LATER. Never eating there again with this amount of disrespect to health restrictions. Oh and I have pictures showing the 20 min difference from when we first noticed it till when we left

Abrupt service with no smile. The utensil area was dirty and we had a hard time finding clean forks. The pulled pork poutine had a light dusting of pulled pork, enough to look like it was sufficient but was sadly lacking in quantity. I will not be back.

I ordered regular fries (butter chicken)and the lady gave me so less fries (cold fries and few hot ones on top ) and little bit of sauce on it. Very bad customer service

Gross soggy fries, people can’t speak well enough to understand, they soaked my hotdog in a gallon of mustard and ketchup, also power tripping with COVID rules, not worth it!!!!!

Everyone knows what these fries are supposed to taste like, so it is obvious to that they are doing something wrong at this location. My poutine was DISGUSTING. I took it back to the owner to advise him that something was wrong. Not to mention the condiments were obviously sitting in the containers for days, mustard crusted over, onions not recognizable... Owner said all they do to the gravy is add water, so "logically" the gravy was fine. What a buffoon. Going to try to report this store to a higher level of the franchise. In the meantime, don't eat there!
