I had been avoiding dentists for a long time due to wanting to find one who takes a whole health approach in treatment. I traveled 4 1/2 hours each way (over the course of a month) to have numerous amalgam fillings removed as well as two extractions of teeth that couldn't be saved. I am so thankful to Dr. Thomson, Kathy, Susan and Twyla. Kathy did my intake and spent a long time with me over the phone, asking me about health issues, etc., before scheduling my first appointment. She, as well as Dr. Thomson and his staff really go above and beyond what they are required to do. They are very caring and truly want their patients well and I felt confident that I was in good hands throughout each procedure. Dr. Thomson puts you at ease with his caring manner and takes the time to answer all questions or concerns and is very patient as well as talented at what he does. He works very hard. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a biological dentist. It was a great experience and I can't imagine going to another dentist again.

My husband and I just finished several appointments with Dr Thomson. We wanted to get all of the amalgam mercury fillings removed from our mouths. Dr Thomson was professional, very knowledgeable, kind and caring, everything we were hoping to find in a biological dentist. He uses careful measures in his office to protect us as patients. His suggestions for detoxing during and after removal of fillings was excellent. He is priced very well also, and we would highly recommend him to anyone. Very pleased with with the results of my challenging orthodontic treatment. Fabulous and authentic naturopathic dentist. Highly educated on a variety of health topics that intertwine with dentistry but that almost no other dentist knows about. I fly in from Calgary to see this dentist, but I think even if I lived in Japan I would find a way back here. While I was in the waiting room today I was talking with someone that had driven 4 hours to come and see him, so obviously there are others that will travel for quality dental care.
Dr. Hugh Thomson really cares about health and wellness. He will take the time to explain anything he is talking about. Also, anyone can tell that he honestly enjoys his work and so does his hygienist, and receptionist. Everyone in this office is absolutely great.
Great dentist haven’t had any problems and been seeing him for years for all my dental needs. People leaving bad reviews must be crazy. I will never see another dentist . Thanks for all the great info n excellent service !!
I have found Dr Thomson to be a very thorough and caring professional. He discovered problems with my decaying root canal that two other dentist refused to accept as an issue. My overall health has improved significantly after the infection in the bone was dealt with and a bridge was utilized to replace the infected tooth. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomson.
I would not give him even one star but I had to so I will say it goes for the every one in the office other then Dr Thompson and his wife. I want to say that I went to him for a cleaning and check up at first. It was fine. Then I had a couple of teeth that had shifted from braces I had as a Kid. I was told it would take 1 year to correct my problem. It took 5 years and a new orthodontist two years to correct the damage he had done to my mouth. His office billed me over 8 thousand dollars for braces and all the extras that I was to pay every month for three years on apparently. They drained my husbands dental at the university for my self and my daughter who also had braces. They took unauthorized payments from my credit card. Non of the " legal contract work was given to me to sign" . BEWARE!!!! as around town. Just because people here say they had a good experience when I did more research with others and people in the industry... I found out different. HE IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL orthodontist. He does not have modern technology like the specialists. Just because he has a piece of paper on his wall... Means nothing. The orthodontist here in town who took my case on at the end of three years with Dr. Thompson after he said to not come back to him after I began to quiz his wife and him for taking payments with out authorization and my teeth being completely messed up, charge me next to nothing! She felt bad because I had over payed with Dr. Thompson and had such a poor experience. Dr. Thompson charges for using the word "holistic" in his dentistry as a reason for higher billing. Check around you will see his is over priced!!! And his wife treats any one with a extended medical coverage like their CASH COW!!!!!!!!
Dr. Hugh Thomson is a very professional dentist. He is a dentist with integrity and kindness. I have not found a dentist like him since I moved to the fraser valley. He's the only dentist I want and feel confident with work that needs to be done on my teeth. I sincerely recommend him to anyone needing dental work done. Sincerely, Lori Evans
