Room was nice, the view was beautiful. Only thing was it was extremely dusty and dry (my nose was irritated by it all night)

We went for a one night staycation that my girlfriend booked for us and the kids, when booking she was assured that because of covid protocol the pool was being booked privately and was told we would have the pool area to ourselves. This was not the case we found out when getting to the pool that they were allowing 2 families in the pool area, up to 10 people different households and obviously nobody is wearing a mask while swimming. The pool was our main reason for booking this with the kids. The room was dirty, the grout on the wash was filthy and shower walls even felt slimy from the mildew, we were told that the room included breakfast and when we asked about it in the morning the clerk was rude and basically laughed and said no and gave some excuse. Overall very disappointing especially considering the great reviews from others, maybe covid had made staff stop caring?
Great, warm customer service and a clean, calm, and inviting atmosphere. Live music, good food, comfortable bed (and spa options!) - not sure what else you can ask for. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Their hot tub is off, and swimming pool area is too stinky with chlorine. They have pools outside which they can keep open with warm or hot water. We ordered water and coffee in our room, they came one hour late to deliver after constant calls. Also, they were not under staffed. Room was decent with a good video of golf course. So much potential but they aren't pulling it off.
Unless you have a conference in this hotel, the value is lacking. The restaurant is jazzy and high-end, and the food is OK, but don't order the tenderloin. They claim it's a tenderloin, but what I received wasn't. It was cooked rare, but it was tough as a flank. The cut even looked like a flank!! Sadly, my server wasn't interested in doing anything about it.
I stay here when I need to relax, when I'm craving some luxury, and when I want to be guaranteed excellent food. I've traveled around the world a lot and have visited many hotels. I can safely say this is one of my favorites. Surprising that you'd find an amazing hotel in Ottawa, but there you go. It's possible! As such, I've come here multiple times even though I live in the city. Its a full experience every time. Their pool is also salt water which is wonderful for my sensitive skin. Also, I've been trying to find a proper regular masseuse that can fix my back issues in Ottawa/Gatineau, and to no avail. The spa that they have here has an excellent, exceptional staff. I actually and finally found a masseuse that is wonderful. If I could give this place a 10 star review, I would.
Second visit for a little get out of the house change. Accommodations superb (even with COVID restrictions in place) and food always so amazing. Highly recommend it
