Happy with my current insurer, but heard good things from friends re: Johnson Insurance, so though I'd ask for a quote. Unfortunately, as a resident of Quebec, there is no online option for quotes, as they're only available via calling in (M-F: 9am-5pm). Call hold-time was short. When I requested a quote, the rep advised I call back again - before my renewal date - to avoid early-cancellation fees. I requested a quote to consider if I should switch at that time. He took my info (car year, make/model, drivers' ages, city), but refused to provide me a quote unless I told him I was committed to switching now and paying cancellation fees. Unfortunately I'm left disappointed with this interaction, and I have no quote. Other insurers provide quotes for free online.

My fatherinlaw passed away on Dec 28/20. He has home, auto, & travel with Johnson Insurance. Called to request cancellation due to his death. I sent a death certificate along with the Will, and they still won't cancel the insurance. Four different conversations netted zero results. Although the staff are polite, they didn't get the job done for me. The man is dead and they are still taking money from his account the past 2 months now!!! Such a money grab! Shame on you Johnson Insurance!
I was with Johnson Insurance for about ten years and finally parted ways with them as a result of various negative experiences over the past year. Know that your loyalty as a customer will not be valued or appreciated. When it comes to addressing more complicated issues, their policies are inflexible and the customer service is abysmal. Their premiums for auto insurance have also increased significantly. Despite having no changes to my driving record, my insurance premium increased by 80 percent when I bought a new vehicle last year. Avoid Johnson Insurance and look elsewhere.
Terrible customer service and increased my rate without notice. (yes I have tried to handle this issue multiple times before leaving this review).
My sister in law passed away suddenly. For three solid weeks we have tried phoning, going to the branch, live chat and have had no success in reaching anybody for help or assistance. It is a continuous vacuum of silence. Johnson insurance is adding to a very difficult time as clearly this company does not value the people who they take money from without hesitation. We will make sure that everybody we know are made aware of the difficulties we are experiencing and the lack of empathy and professionalism that they falsely advertise on their website. When we used the response email from the owner after I first posted, it gave a number and when we called, they said they would edirect\ us and we were sent back to the main menu. My sister in law has been dead for almost 7 weeks. We are no further ahead and seeking help from other insurance companies to make a contact. This is absolutely the worst situation of a company taking advantage of a person who paid for years, never made a claim, and now we need help and nobody cares. I can't caution people enough TO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have no idea what is going on.
