Great building with friendly staff! Front desk staff is very knowledgeable and personable! Ice conditions are very good at this facility!

Nice rinks. A-side rink is good for spectators. B-side rink is fine to play or practice on, but is not very good for spectators. The B-side has very little seating and has bars that interfere with what can be seen...it can also get pretty cold. The A-side is not bad for sightlines, space, and warmth.

The Kanata Rec Complex (KRC) has put in several new measures in light of the current situation. Overall the facilities are clean, the ice is well maintained and the on site staff are very friendly and helpful. With regards to the measures put in place, you check in at the door, follow the lines to get downstairs to the change rooms and ice surfaces. The rooms are spaced out well and clearly indicated where you should sit. The hallways are also well divided for coming and going traffic. No showers or water fountains, so fill up your water bottles before leaving home.

I did not spent a long time there, so my review is only based on what I experienced while visiting. I went for a short gathering. The building is nice and spacious with several rooms. There is amble parking space, so parking is definitely not an issue. I think there is a hockey rink as I saw few people holding hockey sticks.
