This is one of the oldest Kali Puja of Halisahar Suburban area. Before 10-12 years, this was one of the biggest Kalipuja in Halisahar but nowadays, this is not so big. But still, this Kalipuja is charming to local people. Boropukur means a big pond. This Puja occurs at the front side of that big pond.
