I remember this place was the first PC experience my friend Jackson took me to and it was the best time i had it was very chill, open and very good atmosphere and i plan on coming back and hopefully joining some solo fortnite tourneys if they hold them after quarantine

Used to be a great place. For the last 5 months or so they are never on time. They shouldn't be considered a real business. They always are gone with all the computers or they don't show up to open on time. On the rare occasion they do the store is never set up. You can never rely on them for anything. Everytime I try to come play games it's something new. Either they haven't paid their power bill or they are out of town. The days they are there they are always late. Suppose to open at 2 pm but more like whenever they wake up and feel like opening.

I have been coming here with my brothers for 3 years, basically since they opened and I have never been once let down. They have excellent PC's for gaming and the owners are always welcoming to all people and willing to help. Best place to game in KC hands down.

Jeff and Justin have this laid back aura that emits from them - warm and inviting-you'll feel like part of their family immediately. Helpful and eager to provide anything that will make your gaming experience more enjoyable. They also have an assortment of drinks and food that cater to gamers! (Thank the heavens they have burritos, pizza and energy drinks-hell yeah!) I spent about 95 bones at this establishment! Money well spent being surrounded by a community who welcomes you with open arms. I truly felt I found my tribe- I could of cried- I traveled a long time searching for my home and I thought I found it. After a week of indulging in their delights I was subjected to racially insensitive words and derogatory terms by a few of the regulars. It is the nature of a gamer to rage and although their venomous words weren't directed towards me- it still cut me deeply to the core. Even I have the decency to be a respectful human being. The image I had of this place became distorted, and I felt like I had no place in this family. Management had let me know they are going to put a stop to discrimination and although it is reassuring. I write this review in hopes no one ever feels the immense pain of rejection as I did at this establishment. I hope to be coming back soon, but I am angry and overwhelmed with sadness that that type of behavior was allowed. The brief time I spent at Nova Star were filled with memories I'll treasure forever like prized possessions! It truly was a magical place and I honestly thought I found my home-but it'll take me some time to come around. It sucks this incident ruin my impression on Nova Star. I really did enjoy this place.
