Karate School

Small, out of the way karate school. Awesome instructor, especially with kids. A real family-oriented atmosphere. This is not a strict karate school, but proper manners are expected...and required. The teacher is a father, with an entire family at black belt level or progressing to that level...so they are also helping out with teaching students. This school teaches Tang Soo Do, which is rare in these parts. My daughter's been in it for over a year and loves the family atmosphere. However, you are not there to have a 'family picnic'. Tang Soo Do is military-style karate...and you will be taught to hurt someone (sometimes badly) if you need to defend yourself from harm by an attacker. Not as expensive as other schools. You can certainly afford to go to this one. The teacher knows that he could fetch much more money if he wanted to, but prefers to keep the price at a low level for everyone. If you are young, old, or in-between, you are welcomed as soon as you step into the door.
