The shrine was gorgeous and the kids had fun. Many young Japanese women and couples were there. A lot of people were kimonos when walking around and the town area nearby had many rental and dressing locations. The blessings are pay on the honor system and they have boxes listed for English blessings.

A 15min walk from the candy alley. There's no pedestrian street so need to be cautious when heading there. Relatively small shrine. Hikawa shrines are built across the country representing love. This hikawa shrine had snapper lucky charms that represent finding your love.

One of the popular tourist spot in Kawagoe, a must-visit shrine to experience and witness the traditional Japanese culture especially during summer. Approximately 20-30 minutes walk from Hon-Kawagoe Station.

This shrine had a lot of construction next door, and it seems they are expanding the area in the future according to signage at the site. We were able to follow a small path to the rear, but only a couple of the cherry blossom tree had yet bloomed along the river.

These are the pictures that I took last year. It's a small shrine with lots of glassy wind chimes, and they're very beautiful. Also, there is an interesting activity that people can see their fortunes by fishing the red or pink snappers (See my picture below). It's a shame that there are so many tourists walking through the ema tunnel, and make it unable to take good pictures

Hikawa Shrine in Kawagoe is the last place I wanted to visit during my time in this area. It is a bit of a walk from Kashiya Yokocho but I think if you are not in a rush, you should visit this shrine as it has many insta-worthy areas. This didn't appeal to me so much though because this is more for those wishing for fortune and family.

This shrine may not be huge in size, but it is picturesque and peaceful! Take the bus here on a loop of Kawagoe, make sure you get goshuin shrine stamp, especially during the wind chimes festival when the goshuin has a painting of a wind chime on it! Festivals here are a lot of fun, and the bus stop across the has shelter from shade and sun so it’s a handy way to get back to the station.
