Absolutely fabulous place to spend a beautiful day. Wear something long because there's plenty of hungry mosquitoes. Planetarium is good enough. The park is huge and let's you feel like in a remote forest. When going through the folk museum, entry 500, you'll completely forget that you're 3 min away from the hustle and bustle of the city near by. One of the best open air museums within city's limits. Forest, birds singing, houses like they were 300 years ago. A must visit.

Tower of Mother, another artwork of Tarō Okamoto, the famous sculptor/author of the Tower of the Sun in Suita (Osaka), is my new discovery in Ikuta Ryokuchi Park, Tokyo. Here in the park, my friends and I enjoyed exploring the area, walking into old trains, staying in a cafe for coffee & chatting. There are so much more in the park, like traditional nihon minka-en (Japanese houses), observation platform on the top of mt.Matsugata, Fountain Square, Kawasaki Municipal Science Museum etc. p.s.: The sky was grey with no clouds at some points, so I added it using app. ️Oksana Hagverdiyeva
