We didn't get a tour however we did get to try 5 sake samples for 500 yuan which was very good value. Also bought a nice t shirt

Great sake - 150-300 yen per tasting. A bit cold in winter as it is not heated. On the plus side - wonderful sake and because it is away from the crowd - nice and peaceful
The umeshu here is the best I’ve ever tasted. Definitely worth a visit and taste!
The sake here was not bad. Very cheap price like the rest of them. Not very busy since it’s off the beaten path. Was the only one in here.
Small local brewery specializing in aged sake, i.e. it is matured for years after fermentation before bottling, unlike new sake. They are open to public in late January as part of the local sake brewery festival; the breweries in town take turns hosting guests for tours. The provided English tour was excellent; the staff are very articulate and knowledgeable. Very flavorful sake with rich body and texture. The master brewer explained that their philosophy is to make the sake by taste, not necessarily just by technical chemistry. Due to the small production of the brewery, very little is available beyond Takayama. It truly is a local treasure! Thank you for sharing your beautiful sake and city with us.
