Kay & Sons did the cabinets for an addition to our house including a new kitchen. The craftsmanship, finish and attention to detail was excellent. I stopped by multiple times throughout the construction at their shop and was always impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and the time they were taking building our cabinets. We had several unusual requests including wanting a layout with no upper cabinets and installing custom outlets in the front of multiple cabinets. These things were no issue since they were custom designing and building the cabinets. Kay called a couple times throughout the construction process to confirm details of the crown molding around a refrigerator cabinet and the placement of some drawer hardware. This attention to detail is what we were looking for and received. My dad used Kay & Sons for years on new construction and remodel projects. After seeing our finished cabinets installed I was telling him that Kay & Sons had done an excellent job. His response was \They always do!

When we redid our kitchen, there was only one company we would use, that was Kay and Sons. They build our solid cherry wood cabinets that have given us years of beauty and service. When we sold our home, it was the kitchen that sold the wife. Once she walked in and saw those cabinets, she said \This is it\. I highly recommend this company for their workmanship but for their integrity as well.

Well, I truly tried and tried to give Clay, Kay and Kay jr. a chance to Right their mistakes and earn our business, to No avail....The 1st problem occurred when I took drawings, dimensions and specs of a custom master bathroom set of cabinets. The price for 4 cabinets was over 3,500, so we discussed options, and worked out a fair midpoint of 2800; Still more than I expected. But, since the largest cabinet was a 96” tall , 4-door custom cabinet, I accepted it. It took 2 weeks longer than they told me it would take, And the Tall, custom cabinet was Not made correctly, And It was Damaged in Shipping!! Shipping; Wait, I thought you made Custom cabinets??!! Not to mention, after waiting all this time, I had to build a front for the cabinet myself to install it. Later, I discovered that they Didn’t make the cabinets in house, instead they ordered them from China, Korea, or wherever else knock-offs are mass-produced....Hence the lack of concern for my drawings and specs!! The Master bathroom looks Awesome, But I wish they had Listened & made the cabinets as Ordered. I also send folks to them A lot; my sister, my father and several other contractors, I have directed to Kay & Sons for cabinetry....NOT ANY MORE! Yesterday, after I called ahead to ask them if they could fabricate 3 drawers for a fix-n-flip house my wife is finishing, I stopped in to drop off the old drawers that were falling apart, so they had dimensions, etc. However, they told me they weren’t accepting Smaller jobs right Now!! I have built homes and purchased full kitchens and bathroom cabinets from them in the past! I have always spoken highly of Kay and Sons, almost 20years, but I will No longer be using their service, and Certainly will Not refer folks to Use Kay & Sons.

A real cabinet shop. This is a family of true crafts persons. Since my order, my faith in the experience of this group has only grown stronger. Clay called me because when the knobs that I chose came in were a bit smaller than he would have liked. His experience and knowledge in guidance is almost priceless. Yes, I went for bigger knobs with his recommendation. I wouldn't have known better, but I appreciate that the Hill family still adds value to their product. If you get a chance, ask Clay or Kay to show you the shop. It is sincerely impressive. Maybe you'll get lucky and Kay Sr will be around!
