This place is HORRIBLE. Very unprofessional! My mom had several caregivers with Addus and the last two were no call no shows, and the company also did not call. The company also did not send any on-call workers when people failed to show for work. Several staff members have also stated the company may be under audit and investigation as they have not been giving clients their hours, not always paying workers correctly, and yet attempting to claim to the state the workers and clients got the hours... Addus is neglectful and terrible at communication. Addus has legal obligations to provide care and fails epically as they regularly abandon patients/clients and do not provide adequate care or training. They are disorganized and clients suffer because of Addus failing miserably to take responsibility for the poor conditions they create. I do NOT recommend Addus Homecare as they mismanage cases and truly do not care about the well-being of clients.

My family member had been with Addus over a decade and we had many unreliable caregivers very rude office staff him I found office staff often very aggressive under trained caregivers if trained at all. Often caregivers were not showing up for their shift at all or walking off the job office staff would be subpar in trying to find a caregiver poor communication skills. I even had office staff threaten myself and family before I don’t think that you could find a worse company two higher and take care of you or your loved ones if you’re looking for a terrible irresponsible caregiving company that could care no less than this and this is the caregiving company for you if I could give them -5 stars I would I only wish that we would have moved on to a different company years sooner. But if you are looking for a really good Company that’s going to take care of your loved ones like you would want them taken care of this is not the company. You will never be happy there aggressive and rude and don’t care for your love ones let me tell you over 10 years of experience they could not have done worse.
If I could go lower than one star I would. Honestly I don't know about how they treat their clients but their staff...well I would NEVER reccomend anyone work for them. I wanted to be on call because I found a new full time job and just be on call with Addus for extra income. Well they asked me to put in a two weeks notice so they could find someone new for my clients and after that two weeks I was supposed to be on call. They never bothered to put me on call so because they did not put me on call like they were supposed to I lost out on my retro pay (new contract the union was working on, and I was there earning that retro pay during that time.). So because of their mistake I lost my retro pay. Despite having a union they said there was nothing they could do (the union). If they treat their clients like they treat their employees then I would never reccomend them for a friend or loved one. They are also very unorganized and unprofessional.
They are limited on what they can do and their caregivers are not wearing masks on shift.
I have been with Addus alittle over 2 years and Ive been very happy with their service. I my 2 years I have had two caregivers and they both have been very careing girls always on time very pleasent to be around and willing to do anything I needed done.Its nice to have a happy uplifting personality greet you in the morning when your in pain and cant get things done that you used to be able to do its depressing and they always have me feeling better about my situation before they leave. My caregiver is a godsblessing.Im so grateful for this company and thrilled that I have them in my life.
I was recently employed (if that is what you would like to call it), with this branch. I went in for orientation the end of 2018, which to my surprise there was not training, just talking about what you can and can not do. However I have been doing caregiver for a long time so I was comfortable with that, however if you are new to care giving, I feel that you should have some training before going and working with other peoples loved ones. Anyway, never got called for a client, I would call, someone would say that they would call me back, never did. I would call again, they say they have something and for me to call back later in the day, I would. No answer. I went in to get my paycheck from orientation and I could not believe how unprofessional and unorganized they were. I blew me away. I was a staffing coordinator for a agency in Colorado. The way that this branch was acting left me in shock. I emailed them right before this review to tell them that I will no longer be their employee. No caregiver or family should have to deal with that kind of unprofessional and unorganized company.
I quit this job a month ago and my friend that actually works there now requested my paystubs and they practically yelled at her and said no that’s illegal and said that they would mail my pay stubs to me. Well a month later and still no pay stubs maybe I should just call the Vice President of Addus and let him know what is really going on!
Very dishonest and vindictive. Refuse to help me because I called them out on there performance. The scheduling is atrocious! They refused me, and my records. Wrong Taking advantage of the disabled!
