My father was in critical condition last year in a different state than where I live, without any of a living will, power of attorney, or last will. Within a few hours of contacting her, Kate came to the hospital, performed the preparations, drafted the documents back at her office, and had them back at the hospital for signing, all within a few hours. My father passed away within the next couple of days, and naturally I had many questions regarding the estate work that I dealt with over the coming months. Throughout the entire process, Kate was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and practical. She made a daunting experience manageable.

It is hard emotionally when someone in your family is no longer able to care for themselves. It's really heartbreaking. Then, on top of all of that there are legal things that need attending to and the entire situation can be extremely overwhelming . This is how I met Kate Moriarty. A member of my family needed a guardian, and to make matters worse I was in an entirely different state. I was so unsure as to whether or not I could take on this responsibility, but my love for my cousin was encouraging me to. Kate and I had many discussions over the phone and she assured me that she would be there for me every step of the way. She kept that promise and made the entire process so much easier for me, so that I am able to focus on taking care of my cousin without worrying about everything else. I'm not sure what I would have done without her help. Kate is always there for me when I need a question answered and when the legal aspects arise. She is very caring and there is no doubt in my mind that she became a lawyer because she genuinely wants to help people. I highly recommend Kate Moriarty if you are looking for legal assistance from someone who understands the emotional aspect of the situation and if you want to be treated with kindness and compassion. With Kate you are not just a client, you are a team that works together and I am very grateful for that.

My family has used Kelaher, Van Dyke & Moriarty for many years and we've always received outstanding service from them. As the executor of the estates of several elderly relatives, I've relied on Kathy Moriarty for legal guidance throughout the probate process. She's also prepared wills, power(s) of attorneys, living wills, prenuptial agreements and other important legal documents for members of my family. I've always found her (and other staff members) to be very dependable, professional and personable. This is a highly reliable, trustworthy law firm and I don't hesitate to recommend them for any family or elder law matter.
