My favourite thing about 88 grand buffet is the sushi and the crab legs. It’s the only reason we justify the higher price. Unfortunately this visit they did not serve either and the price was raised. The rest of the food was not very exciting. It was not bad, but I would have preferred to save the 160 for our family to go and put it toward fresh Chinese or Tokyo 1. Definitely not worth the price without the sushi and crab legs. Feel no need to return. I understand that COVID has hit them hard, but this was a very underwhelming visit.

I have been sampling Chinese buffet for many many years. I am rarely super impressed by restaurant food in general. However, this place is ridiculously amazing. Their buffet selection is ginormous, I started giggling, when I reached the BBQ pork ribs, like a small child in a candy store. Will be back for sure as soon as I can fit in my pants again. *caution do not wear jeans*
If you leave a good review on Google/Yelp/etc, you'll get 10% off. Well here I am—but as your trusty Local Guide, I ain't gonna give a fake review for money Food was okay: mainly Chinese food. Wouldn't say anything superb or extraordinary but it was definitely on the positive side (but not too much of a positive). The dessert was lacking diversity though. I somehow couldn't eat a lot in this restaurant. Not sure if it was because of the food or the burning, 30C summer weather. Only had 2 plates before dessert. The restaurant atmosphere was arguably nice as it seemed very modern and rather minimalistic. Also driver-friendly: free parking on the lot!
Gave it 2 stars because the service was friendly. Otherwise, I did not enjoy the food. 1st time at this establishment and will be last. Chow Mein made with these egg noodles. Looked interesting but did not taste like mein. The combo for 1 was all together so everything tasted like the sweet n sour sauce.
Really nice ambiance, very friendly staff and great selection of food that is very delicious! Would highly recommend this place.. will be going back for sure!
soo frickin good!!! i want to start off by saying that i am soo beyond picky about Chinese food! ESPECIALLY MEAT DISHES. where i grew up i would only eat/order from the one place i liked ! when i moved 2 hours away to kelowna, when i got a craving (3”every few months) i would drive the two hours for take out ! h honestly i think the 88 grand buffet had way better food! every dish has its ow unique taste unlike the majority of places ive tried in kelowna , each dish taste very similar ! the chow mein on is the best i’ve ever had! it’s not the fake chicken either and it’s cooked right ! i rarely eat chinese leftovers ! not in this case ! if i absolutely had to find anything i would change how much chicken was in the chow mein. please never ever change the recipes 88!
Place is very good and affordable. Staffs are accomodating and Helpful. Foods are superb (5 Stars) . Will back again soon for sure. ️️
The only interest is the price. The food is not high quality and made in bulk. We don't feel "love" and the cook touch. You can eat a lot but the place is so big that it's crowded and noisy. Worth it if you want to full fill youserlf for not a lot of money.
