Unique location. Easy access but parking can be tricky. Great selection and helpful staff. Good folks to deal with.
I’ve shopped here for as long as I can remember. It’s the last hunting store in town you can reminisce about the good ol days of taking a photo of your most recent harvest to hang on the wall in the store. Back before everything went digital, this was where you came to trade hunting and fishing stories with your fellow hunters. It’s places like this that kept the industry alive and helped usher new hunters like young me into the fold. If you are old school, and you want to feel that nostalgia, then this is your place. If you want a young Bear Grylls type to teach you all the ins and outs of the latest tech involved in the world of hunting and fishing equipment, maybe this isn’t your spot. They are great here. I really wish they had a bigger store with a bigger selection. Cause I'd buy everything here if they did
I was disappointed after calling in to confirm they had the bipod I wanted and when I went in to pick it up, the gentleman behind the counter said that they do not sell Sako rifles so he couldn't help me. I explained I needed a pic rail, adapter and the carbon fiber Caldwell bipod (which was already priced 60 higher than any other local store and online). He said they didn't have pic rails or adapters (The pic rails were behind him, behind the counter). He rolled his eyes, sighed alot, complained that his female boss was misinformed to tell me they had Mlok set ups... There was nobody else in the store, and he made no effort to even try to understand what I wanted and wouldn't hand me any of the picatinny rails behind the counter to see which one I needed. Great North Precision will be keeping my business.
