Great place for kids to read and enjoy. Absolutely love the books available at the branches and how fast you can get one from another branch, most of the librarians are the nicest people you could meet.
Having moved many times over the Okanagan, it's really nice to know you will be getting the same book selection and customer service through the Okanagan Regional Library. There is such a wide book selection and I have maybe only come across one or two titles the ORL did not have. Shipped requested books generally take one to four days to arrived to your selected branch (depending if they are coming from a larger branch or a smaller one) and you receive email alerts for arrived books, and reminders a few days in advance if your books are due. The search function of the website catalogue makes sense and is easy to use. All of the branches I have visted (Salmon Arm, Enderby, Rutland, Kelowna, Summerland) are clean and staff are friendly. The only bummer about the ORL is there is no branch in Penticton, though that is not their fault, it was a decision made by the city of Penticton. However the Summerland, Kaledon, and OK Falls branches aren't too far away :)
