We brought a house in December 2020 and use them as our lawyer for closing. On the purchase agreement, there was a condition that the seller will need to give us 500 for broken appliances on closing. During closing they got my name wrong on multiple pages and messed up by mixing up our documents during the submission to the bank for the mortgage. We took possession in mid December however, still no 500 from the seller. It was a small a amount so we didn't really pushed hard at that time. Only took them to Jan 27, 2021 to get our 500 to us after multiple calls and emails to the assistant and our lawyer. Do they work for us or someone else? What did we paid them for anyway to get lot of screwed up. First they said they mailed our binder of disbursement but we had nothing...zero...zip from them since we took possession in middle of December of last year. Now March, we had to email the lawyer to get our binder of disbursement papers and etc. Finally they will courier it to us today. Something tell me they took on more work than they could handle so they dropped the ball on our file. Beware and I would not recommend them to anyone at all. Save your money for someone else who actually represent you and not for you to chase down a mere 500 and for your stuff.

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Mr. Greg LeClair. I believe he was too busy to take on my file and really threw me in the rear view mirror after collecting a 5,000 retainer in Nov 2020. Fast forward to March 2021 and I've received zero legal advice, have not been granted one single meeting with my hired lawyer, ignored emails, un-responded phone calls and now a bill for services which is completely un-founded or warranted. I inquired about this mis-communication and when I visited the Thomas Butler office, I was met with hostility. Mr. Greg Butler threated me in writing to never show up at his office again and suggested I seek mental help for attending said office looking for my file and partial refund. I strongly recommend you do your research before hiring this man. I am now past a major deadline and at risk of losing almost 100,000 in a court ruling.
Greg LeClair and his team were engaged months ago, paid 5000 to initiate an action and provide service to an FMEP deadline of 60 days. Greg ignored several phone calls, emails, then had his assistant attend city at his rate of 500 per hour to acquire documents I already provided his team. The team has refused to address my file, cost me 10’s of thousands of dollars in an FMEP and failing to conclude my file or return agreed funds. After several attempts to make contact, I attended the office to pick up my file. Greg sent me an email when ordering me not to attend their office. Do date, I’ve had jot one phone call since consult or virtual meeting with Greg for the engaged legal advice. Do not hire this firm... they do not care about their clients.
