A fantastic place to visit with kids who love to run and explore. So many routes to follow. The beach area is beautiful with great waves for surfing and body boarding. The car park is easy to find and free. It does get busy during peak times. Lots of dog walkers with their dogs on and off the lead. Would highly recommend and will visit again.

Wonderful place, good for dog walking. I recommend the yellow trail for a good walk to the beach through the dunes. This is the only place in the UK where you can find a certain type of super rare fen orchid. Parking is free. Sometimes they have an ice cream van. We saw some people on the lake in boats and a few drones which I don't think is allowed.

Loved our trip to the Reserve and then onto the beach yesterday! Lovely and quiet and our pup enjoyed a nice run on the beach! One of our favourite places to go as it's normally quite quiet and you have lots of space to yourself!

Amazing place very different depending on where you walk dunes, golf course, sea cows and sheep. Dogs are permitted but in the winter months watch out for the sheep they have right of grazing . It's even better because you can end your walk with a coffee from the #hyde

Always lovely walking on a sunny day, but I think this will become a favourite walk all year round and in many different weather conditions. Not too taxing as you can choose which route to go to the wide beach (at low tide) and both length and severity can be adjusted to suit a wide range of ramblers. Be warned, if you haven't got a dog you may well be tempted to go and get one from the nearest shelter just to enjoy the sight of an ecstatic dog sprinting along the beach or into the waves. So joyous.
