This clinic is the worst vet to take your dogs to in Kent. I would not trust them. Among many examples of questionable behavior, there is one event which stands out: I took my 13 year old dog, who wouldn’t eat, for an appointment. To get his temp, they stuck a children’s thermometer up his butt and after pulling it out the vet took a cotton ball with a mild amount of isopropyl alcohol and gingerly wiped it off - I got the idea this is the only thermometer they have available. After that the vet gasped when it read 102, telling me my dog had a fever. Later I took my dog to a different vet who clarified that 102 is a normal dog temperature.... Next, they inserted a saline IV into my dogs neck skin to rehydrate with electrolytes. The needle popped out when my dog moved which began spraying saline all over my dog, me, my father and the vet. The vet quickly grabbed the IV needle which had fallen on the ground and I watched the look on his face as he considered re-inserting the needle. I insisted he put on a new needle as this one had just flopped all over the ground. The floor itself was unclean. The vet did not do a blood test or labs in order to “save me money” and instead offered broad-spectrum antibiotics to assist my dog in fighting “whatever infection this may be.” When I questioned the effectiveness of generalized antibiotics (just as humans do, dogs if given antibiotics of the same kind too much the medicine itself can become ineffective) and I asked if my dog had been given these before, the vet got defensive and said if I had doubts I could go to a different vet. If you use this vet: yes you will save money, but please know your dog and/or cat is not receiving the type of preventative care they deserve. This place focuses on reactionary care and even that they are bad at, but they will not help your dog or cat maintain a healthy life.

I have taken my pets to 3 different vets. This vet is by far the very best. He won't charge you unnecessarily, he genuinely loves and cares for animals. He is so understanding and explains things in a way a pet owner can understand. Once my dog had cancer and he couldn't help her, but he recommended us to someone that was able to cure my doggy and save her life. Long story short, we trust him with our babies and it is a pleasant welcoming place to take your fur babies.
After moving across the country, I needed to find a caring, yet reasonably priced, veterinarian for my two dogs. After reading all the rave reviews for the Animal Clinic, how could I *not* come here? Our appointment was for boosters and a fecal exam. I called at 10am to schedule an appointment, expecting the next open spot to be some time away... only to be told that I could bring them in right away. I was so pleasantly surprised! It was easy to find, and had a spacious parking lot with several spots. I've been to so many vet clinics where the lot is either super cramped, or only have 3 spots so you have to find parking elsewhere. Upon walking in, the clinic is spacious, open, and clean. Our info was quickly and efficiently processed, and the attending vet was courteous, calm, thorough, soft-spoken, and went the extra mile to explain what future treatment was actually necessary and what could wait. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. And the bill was only 80 for both! They only take cash or check though! I was very impressed and most definitely will be back for my veterinary needs!!
I have been going to this vet for many years. If he is in the Roxbury clinic, I go there. He and his staff are kind and compassionate. They care about the animals and people.
I cant say enough good things about this place! They have gone above and beyond for my animals every time! The staff is so loving and has so much compassion for not only the animals, but their human's as well. I would highly recommend this place!
Amazing experience here with my pet! Quick and affordable care, good vibes and great service! My fur baby and I are happy campers! They take check or cash only, but who cares because they take care of you pet family!!! Thank you Animal Clinic of Kent!
Whenever I've visited this office, I have left with many questions unanswered. The examining rooms are dirty and the staff, while nice, does not provide thorough care. They instead offer antibiotics and pain killers in place of x-rays, blood or other analyses your pet may need. Tools are not properly cleaned. Even the customer bathroom is not up to standards of an office you'd want to visit. I have experienced significantly better care at 4 other vets over the course of my dog's life and this is by far the worst. Please take your pets to a different vet.
