I gave five starts to this park not because of its quality or condition which would be ironic! I see a few reviews here that park users complained of the rough surface which makes it difficult to dogs to walk/run. I five-stared the location to appreciate the City of Kent to be thoughtful and caring for our pets while the primary dog park is undergoing a significant change and renovation. My dear neighbors should consider that this location is being used as the temporary dog park. Patient please :)

There are two separate areas: a small/shy dog area and a large dog area. We used the large dog area and there was a lot of open space, but the grounds are very rocky. So rocky my dog doesn’t even really want to play when he’s here. Two stars because there’s apparently a lot of good smells that kept my dog interested for about 10 minutes and it’s not busy. In fact, we are the only ones here every time we’ve stopped by.

I appreciate the city doing this. The park is clean and spacious. The only negative is that it is very rocky, so be careful!

Pretty small but usually not many other people/dogs. Good for if you live in a local apartment. Grand view dog park across the valley western kent of military road is an awesome, huge dog park, usually pretty busy.

It’s better than nothing but I must say it’s a sad park. Rocks make for unstable playing ground. Kent really put little to no thought into this place(well other than out of sight out of mind) We miss the old park, trees, grass, and features for training. Many great memories but I now drive out of Kent for my dog.

Not like our old dog park at all. But, it's there for a quick run for my pups.
