Airport did good protection for COVID-19. You need to check in on the APP once you enter the airport building. There are several car rental stands in the airport lobby. There are also Taxi Meter close to door 4. You could just let the lady know where are you going then she will give you a queue and communicate with the taxi driver. Taxi fare is shown on the meter and there will be an extra charge 50 Baht for airport service.

No stress at Khon Kaen airport. Staff very helpful and friendly. Easy boarding by walking out of the gate and directly to your aeroplane.
A beautiful place in north east of Thailand. KhonKen Airport is only one to connect Bangkok with its northern destinations. Mahasarakham is a beautiful northern city with about 45 min drive from Khonken airport. Many tourists they visit Udan Thani a beautiful city near to Thai-Laos border have to use the only Khonken airport. I have visited Khonken, Mahasarakham, Udan Thani in 2016. Really affordable market, very friendly and helpful people and great hospitality. But only one thing that you keep in mind before you visit the destinations, you have to have a good tourist guide. I visited the area with the professors and faculties of Mahasarakham university. So, everyone was a perfect tourist guide in our group.
It's small and good conditions but they didn't check properly local people when enter inside security checkin but they checked deeply Fourniers.... I think they should be check local people so it's better for good feature
