This was definitely one of the highlights of my daughter's time in Maui! She loved her time with mermaid Caitlin and saw so much underwater. The photos will let us keep the memory for years to come!

I thought Mermaid Emily was amazing. She checked everyone in, set everyone up with the correct mermaid tail and gave clear instructions, taught about care of the ocean, took pictures of each participant doing various poses or swimming, and taught the participants how to snorkel. The only negative was that there were three women who were there to help and did absolutely nothing; they could have helped speed things along, by signing in the participants, handing out the correct mermaid tail, help to get mermaid tail on and make sure it fit (some needed different sizes). Mermaid Emily did EVERYTHING so it seems she could have been freed up a little to work with the mermaids.

Lila is a beautiful soul. A true mermaid. Her love and connection to the ocean and her passion for the Hawaiian islands is a wonderful treasure to share. Our mermaid swim was spectacular. A perfect day in the bay populated with sea turtles and marine life, the experience of navigating the reef and waters as a mermaid was among the best and most memorable on my visit to Maui. There is nothing like gliding through the pristine Hawaiian waters with the flick of your tail, as a mermaid. The photos of my mermaid swim are ethereal and capture the tranquil beauty and memory of this otherworldly adventure. Thank you Lila. What an amazing experience. Xx

My 7 year old saved up her allowance and purchased this adventure for herself. We can not say enough about how amazing it was! We did a private lesson at Makena Beach and the photos are spectacular (and included!!). The lesson on conservation was much appreciated and my daughter loved snorkeling with the tail on. She is an average swimmer for her age and had no problems with the tail. 100% worth it and I have been recommending it to everyone.

Lila was an amazing instructor., she made me feel very comfortable swimming in the ocean with the tail. You don't only learn how to swim like a mermaid, she also teaches you things about the ocean. i would definitely be doing this again when I go back to Maui.

I can not choose any word to say how imazing how fantastic for to be mermaid \u200d️ in the ocean I was this morning !! I love mermaid and I did not know this fantastic mermaid adventure since 2 months before we come to Hawaii! Tara the online register she is very nice to explain and built the trust on me ! So I register for me and my friend Anne ! This morning I meet up with Lila ( I hope I spell her name right ?) the mermaid Instructor!! She explained for us the technique and the safety very well !! Be honest I never swim in the ocean . Swimming pool is no problem! But ocean is my passion but I never dream off go out far to swim ! I told Lila and she is with me all the time any moment I need her !! I made it ! Finally I can be a mermaid swimming in the ocean ! Experience all of fishes and colorful coral on the bottom of the ocean ( Maui / Hawaii)!! So so fantastic! Thank you Lila ! You are the best ! You made my dream come true !!! I would love to tell anyone come to Maui and have a dream to be mermaid like me ’ Again thank you Lila my mermaid instructor!!!

A morning with Hawaii Mermaid Adventures is an absolute must while in Maui! Mermaids can opt for photos or a mermaid swim lesson. I took the swim lesson which came with some beautiful pics. We swam at Makena Beach, near my hotel in Wailea. I studied with Mermaid Manya; she was so nice and patient and an excellent photographer. (She took the pics below). Based on some of these pics, you would never know that I am not a great swimmer and needed a lot of help. (Remember - this is the equivalent of swimming with your ankles tied together). HMA will work with you and make sure you get the right tails for your body type and to match your top. I can't wait to get out there and swim with them again! Be sure to budget for some of their cute merch. I couldn't leave without one of their adorable trucker hats! I believe they are now giving lessons at the Westin Kaanapali at one of their pools! You can mermaid it up in Kaanapali and Wailea!

I have always fancied myself to be a mermaid and this experience with Lila further confirmed that love!!! She is extremely knowledgeable, both about the techniques of swimming as a mermaid and ocean ecology. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone, young and old, who dreams of becoming a mermaid. The memories, and photos were a highlight of my trip to Maui.
