Well first off I want to start by saying how good the service was. My fiance and 2 small dogs drove from Northern Alberta staying in various hotels all over Alberta and this way by far the nicest service I have ever gotten. Even from our previous road trips from Northern Alberta to far east in NFLD we never received service this good. Two men and one woman all so friendly, instantly made us feel comfortable and at home. As for the hotel itself it was nice. It's an older hotel but very well kept and the rooms were very clean, as well as a good size. The price of the hotel you can't beat. 100 bucks and that includes 2 dogs !!! The last 2 hotels we stayed in Calgary both charged us 20 PER PET while these guys charged us 10 bucks for BOTH!! Our hotel in Calgary for 2 nights was 450 and honestly not much better then this hotel other then from being a bit newer. I would most definitely be making this the hotel I stay at if I ever pass through again. 10/10

New management has really turned this place around. Building is very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great place
Stayed here a few times over the last 10 years. Last few years it has been on a steady decline. Tonight will be our last night staying here as it is pretty hurting here now. We had someone else book here this weekend as well and he would give a worse review than I am if he knew how. I love Kimbo a try to support it as much as I can but I can't support a place that shows no effort in getting any better or maintaining an acceptable level of standards.
If I could give no stars, I would. The place is not clean. They also advertise free breakfast online but there is no free breakfast. Don't waste your money.
Went to book a room for a night a couple summers ago. There was no one at the front desk and we had come back 3 more times and there was still no one there. I ended up staying in Cranbrook that night instead.
Rooms were dirty, lights didn't work, food and dirt all over the floor at base of bed, stains everywhere...all for 103 a night!!! We got our money back and left, found a CLEAN hotel down the road for 75 a night. Read reviews before you book!!!
Stay away from this place. On a scale of 1 to 10, our experience rates a minus 5. The bathroom floor was dirty, and someone else’s hair was on the floor behind the door. The floor had not been washed. The bedroom floor had not been vacuumed, and someone else’s sunglasses were in the dust between the nightstand and the bed. The air conditioner did not work, even though it was about 20 years old and had obviously been well used and beaten up. We put up with it because of the lateness of our examining the room. We could not bring ourselves to shower there, and just felt dirty after the whole experience. Even the main entrance is worn. The breakfast was very basic, with no bagels, pastries or muffins, only white bread and cold cereal, and half of the four slice toaster was broken. After this experience I will never again stay in any Econo Lodge. I have rated it a 1 on this form, because it will not allow me to rate it a zero.
