Though historically significant, Racer wasn't really a notable or fun ride to me. It's rough, so it runs slower, meaning there's not much airtime to speak of. Needs a big refurbishment, and they should turn one side backwards while they're at it.

Very fun wooden coaster. Was the bumpiest ride of the day, but still very enjoyable. Wasn't great enough to ride again as other coasters are better here.

Racing old school wooden coasters. My enjoyment was cut short by the roughness of the ride. Rode both Blue side and Red side and found Blue to be a little better.

Good ride if your trying to work your way up to the bigger ride

Well this ride shows it age a lot with how rough it is. Love the racing aspect but the Gemini at Cedar Point beats this out big time. Gemini is smoother, has better drops, a better ending and is just a better ride overall. I also like how you stay side by side with the other train the entire time versus the racer you don’t. It still is fun and worth a ride - if your willing to get beat up a little.

Next to racing a motorcycle, this is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. My first ride on The Racer was nearly 30 years ago and this ride is still as fun as it was then. For a wooden coaster it's still pretty smooth.

Decent wooden coaster.

Terrible. It was boring and really rough. It’s a classic but definitely needs updates.
