I was using the Banfield in Johnson City before they shut down. Afterwards, I was instructed by ASPCA to contact this Banfield to access the records of my pet. The receptionist on duty at 3:30 on 10-25-2013 who answered the phone was extremely rude and seemed very put out to have to look up information for another Banfield. She insisted that there was nothing she could do to help me. I called Banfield corporate and they fixed the issue. They told me that not only was she capable of helping me but that she was supposed to be well trained in helping any Banfield customer from any other Banfield clinic. The receptionist put me on hold for 12 minutes while she "looked up the corporate number" for me. Eventually I hung up and called back a bit later. She rudely said, "I was getting you that number when you decided you wanted to hang up." I told her I didn't want to argue with her and I just wanted the number. I could hear her audible sigh and could literally hear the contempt in her voice when she barked the number to me. Here is the kicker. My SISTER is a Banfield vet in another state. So I write this review with a heavy heart. I hate to say anything bad about a company my sister works for. But Jeez! Hopefully someone there will take this seriously and talk to their staff about customer service. What this receptionist didn't realize is that now that my Banfield is gone I was going to bring my 2 dogs and cat to them. But not anymore. A different vet now gets the business instead. Thousands of dollars over the course of their lives lost because of 2 minutes of rudeness from an unprofessional receptionist.

I never got my dog to Banfield. I called and scheduled the appointment and explained I wanted my dog to continue her Trifexis. She explained that my dog would have to have a heartworm test first and that would be 35.00. I told her that was fine. I also wanted the 3 year rabies vaccine and she said we can't do that, she has to have a 1 year vaccine first. I explained my dog has had 4 of the one year vaccines and asked her if she could contact the previous vet to get the records if needed for proof. She said we still have to give her a 1 year vaccine and that is 14.95, which the price was fine. I also told her I had seen online for the first visit that the check up was free and I understood the tests and vaccinations were extra and that was fine, but my printer was out of ink and I couldn't print out the coupon. She said then you have to pay for the check up as well. I scheduled the appointment for the following Saturday, but later called and changed my mind. If I was given this much grief while just scheduling an appointment, it's not where my furbaby needs to be seen.
