Start with a temporary position and after my probationary period I was hired full time! Thanks Manpower!

What they wont tell you is weeks after you have not gotten your pay from work you have done, they will say oh, you need to submit them online using our convoluted overly difficult system, they will not offer assistance of any kind, you almost get an attitude when asking questions, or not even an answer to the questions you asked. This was my first and last experience I will ever have with these folks.

Not even sure why I went to meet with them, literally nothing has happened and it's been months. Don't waste your time.

I worked for them for almost 5 months last summer. The lady who worked on my work schedule always scheduled me on the times I specifically told them I cannot attend to even though she already agreed she'd put me in a shift that suits me. They didn't pay me overtime (they preach about overtime opportunities) even though I worked over 40 hours and had to stay past my end shift sometimes to help out. They promised job opportunities during the fall, but once the summer ended and I sent them my class schedule (I already talked to them about working during the fall for 3-4x a week), they started ignoring me. I wasn't sure if I counted as a quit or termination of employment. It was awkward. Was I fired or did they just assume I quit? I stopped getting emails from them and they refused to answer my calls and respond to emails. Very disappointing because I wanted to continue the job. The pay was above average especially for a student who'd rather do something else than work retail/fastfood, but extremely poor management and professionalism.

Manpower is not a government agency like they would have you believe, if they are offering you a wage of 18 per hour you can bet the employer is paying at least 48 for you. They are not a fair wage temp agency; they are just that temp agency looking to make almost 200 % profit or better off the sweat of you back. My kid worked for them and I know the employer personally this is fact not fiction, if the claim otherwise they are lying. I pulled my kid from Manpower and got his a job with a good company with good moral fiber not a bad moral compass. Don’t get me wrong I don’t begrudge anyone making a profit but almost a 200 % profit for your sweat is B.S.

They are making money from your work. However years ago i needed work badly and they helped me get a job so i was happy they were there.
