This is a great ropeway which goes up to the top of the mountain, and you should really check it out if you go to Kinosaki. Go there after a bath at an onsen in town. There is a cafe at the top and a lookout and I think a few chin-up bars too.

A nice and relaxing rope way up to the mountain. Vast view of Kinosaki city on top. A lovely coffee for coffee, light food and cake.

900 yen per person for round trip to the mountain top. Spectacular view over Kinosaki town and the lake (sea?). Also loved the coffee shop up there.
