Every day we are inspired by "Making Individuals'​ Lives Better."​ This is an exciting time for our Veteran program, Psychiatric Rehabilitation program, and Wellness group! EXPANDING OUR REACH: As we continue to serve our consumers in Prince George’s County, we anticipate our expansion into Baltimore and other surrounding communities. KHI, founded and incorporated in November 2010, is one of the few transitional/permanent housing resources in Prince Georges County. Our goal is to fill the gap of homelessness in the county and surrounding communities, such as Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Our mission is to help individuals improve and maintain healthy, independent lifestyles — ultimately improving their quality of life. STORY OF HOPE: Mr. John Carey has been living at Kirstin’s Haven since 2011. Mr. John was referred to our organization through QCI Behavioral Health. Mr. Carey has been able to utilize community resources to remain healthy, and to have the funding to afford safe housing. HELP BUILD OUR BALTIMORE HOME: Help bring this Baltimore haven to life for our Veterans "Baltimore Project Housing"​ located on 3302 Auchentorole Terrace in Baltimore, Maryland 21217. DISTRIBUTION CENTER: We recently opened the Foncham Distribution Center, in partnership with Good360 and national and local retailers. We receive donated new or returned overstock general merchandise and re-distribute it to our non-profit partners. This allows them to better serve their populations.
