Beautiful station. I was shocked by its retro charm. Even the bathrooms were beautiful (but with modern toilets ). A short 15 minute ride from Kokura station with relatively frequent departures. There are a Starbucks and a convenience store inside the station.

Amazing station, classic decorations and Europe style which reminds me of old French street. The black font of Family mart and shops around really matched! Very impressive!

This station is the tip of the island of Kyushu. I was there for a visit to check out the place. It still retains some flavour of early modern Japan when she allowed Westernization. Please visit this place which many tourism offices would recommend. This off the beaten track was refreshing.

When you get off at this station, it gives you a strange feeling because coming from super Japanese Kokura station, after about 15 minutes, you suddenly arrive in a station that looks like the one in Germany... You can already feel the identity of this city even if, as you leave the station, the atmosphere immediately takes you back to Japan.
