This museum is very nicely done and takes you on an unexpected journey to the second world war, whether you are a novice or a specialist on the subject. Let the audio guide fill you in on history, and the stories of those who fought. The scenes are worked out with remarkable detail. Definitely worth a visit.

A must see to see the history of the liberation of this part of Belgium. Perfect collection very realistic .

Having German-Canadian roots, with little knowledge about Canada's contribution in WW2, apart from Flander's fields, I was amazed how history was brought to life here. What a wonderful find this museum was. Highly recommended, especially if you are a history buff.

I had lunch at the terrace when participating \Tweedaagse van Vlaanderen in Blankenberge.\ Very interesting exhibitions within multiple shack. Staff is kind and friendly.

Very powerful and sensitive museum. One if the best museums we have ever visited. Focused more on stories of people rather than labelled hardware. There is lots if stuff too. More than you would expect from the outside. But the strength is the audio and the local stories and human interest. Love the recording from the Lancaster , so much respect and sadness. But what a great place.

Absolutely brilliant experience. Very informative and visual displays. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about Europe's more recent history and what people went through for our freedom. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. With it only being 15 minutes from Bruges, it is definitely worth the short trip!

Great collection of artifacts of WWII impacts on the local area. The guide is put together well. It would be a bit cramped on a popular day and public transportation to it from Brugge is a bit tricky.
