Great job all around from Marlin, Justin, and Tyler! From deadwooding an 80-year-old elm to pruning and elevating numerous younger trees, they were very thoughtful in where/how they climbed and judicious in their pruning. And they were happy to answer my questions and consider my input throughout. Cortese is the only choice for truly professional tree services.

Cortese has done tree and landscape maintenance for me for years, including annual pruning of 20ft tall leyland cypress screen (now removed). Here's a snapshot of the replacement: Arborvitae. Planted 2018. 5ft shrubs. Today: 7ft. No mortality. If you want it done right, call Cortese.
This is my second time using Cortese Tree Specialists. The great crew that worked here today did an excellent job. They were on time, professional and very meticulous as the maneuvered around our home. A couple of the trees they trimmed are a story higher than our two story home. They cut and lowered the large limbs without a problem. I will call Cortese in the future and I recommend them highly!
I have used Cortese on multiple occasions for tree limb removal, and I have also used other tree trimming companies in the Knoxville area. The old saying is right, you get exactly what you pay for! The Board at Fire St Lofts, in The Old City, had a great experience with Cortese Tree Specialists a few years ago. April 2020 was no exception. The work quoted by arborist, Nicholas St. Sauvuer, was exactly what we received for the agreed price, including trimming, tree fertilizer with growth reducer, and high-grade mulch. Additionally, the gentlemen who performed the work, Patrick & Marlin, were both professional & personable. In short, Cortese has earned our business and we look forward to continue working with them.
